Here we have two really useful items. An EL Wire Driver capable of powering up to 10 metres of EL Wire or 300 square cm of EL Tape or an EL Wire Driver capable of powering up to 20 metres or 500 square cm of EL Tape.

It is simple to set the flashing speed:

Press the red button and the EL Wire will be on continuous.

Press the red button a second time and the EL Wire will start to flash.

PRESS AND HOLD DOWN the red button a third time and the blink rate will slowly increase

The Blink rate will go up to a fast strobe and then back down to a slow 2-second blink and then again back up to the strobe speed for as long as you hold the button down

When you release the button, the unit will then keep that blink rate as the default flashing speed (until you chose to change it again by keeping the button held down)

If you don’t hold the button down on the third press it will simply switch it off

The EL Drivers come with an 8xAA battery pack to make them portable

The Drivers dimensions are: 12cm X 7cm X 3cm (LxWxH)

Here we have a large and powerful EL Driver that is sealed within a waterproof casing – reducing the whistle while also making it water-resistant.

This listing is for a portable Sequencer/Driver capable of running between 1 to 6 metres of EL Wire

It is also capable of powering up to 150squ cm of EL Tape or EL Panel

This Sequencer/inverter has five outputs each capable of powering up to 5metre of EL Wire and in Contiuous Mode will power all 25 metres at once

This Sequencer is Portable and has an 8 XAA power pack but has the option of being mains powered

The Sequencer has 5 Modes which are controlled by a single button

When using this system with an EL Driver, the Mains Charger can also be used with the Driver or Sequencer to power the unit.

This is a really neat little EL Driver/Sequencer

It is about the same size as a standard EL Driver for 3m of EL Wire (9cm x 3cm x 2.5cm) but it has 3 outputs which sequence just one pattern:

There is a dial on the side which lets you adjust the speed of this pattern from the slowest (0.7sec) right up until the wires are strobing so fast they appear constant.

The mode button also allows the EL Wires to be on constantly if you prefer

Cutting the wire into the length you choose is simple… but rejoining it takes care and attention.

you will also definitely need some wirestrippers

It is also recommended to place this joint away from whereis likely to encounter stress (eg if it is threaded into clothes that will then be bent and jostled – try to keep this joint out for harms way – eg avoid putting it at the elbows)
